A great white Rhone bargain and a half. Neither overly austere nor overly floral or oaky, hits the middle perfectly and the stone fruit and flint tastes creep up on you in an enjoyable way. Great as quaffer or pair with seafood or Asian fare.

Famille Perrin tasting @ Grand Cru. Very linear note of pear on the nose. Juicy acidity but not much else. Palate was bland and slightly waxy with a bitter finish.

Well made wine, fine, waxy and oily with stone fruit notes and a spiced finish.
