A really smooth, well put together wine. On the nose, pleasing aromas of rhubarb, baked cherry, pie crust, cola, brown sugar and a hint of smoke. Delicious cherry fruit, with notes of cola, cinnamon, and clove, with a touch of minerality on the back end. Long and lingering finish.

Liked this rich pinot a lot. Nose is a melange of rhubarb, black cherry, pomegranite, and wild berry, with a touch of forest floor and funk. Palate offers wild berry galore, with some black cherry and a nice licorice note. Good acidity but very little tannin. Ready to drink / no need to hold further.

Happy and sad --- happy I have one more, sad Dain isn't making any more. Opened for just a few minutes the first night. Much lighter in color and weight than other Ontiveros Pinots I have had. Lots of stawberry and some raspberry. No heat. Nice medium-long finish and good acid. Went very well with the roasted eggplant we had for dinner.

Just had a strawberry-chocolate ganache from Godiva - and it tastes like this. Perhaps more raspberry in the wine. Lacking a consistency of acidity, but still very good. Not great value for the money though. I will continue buying Loring in it's stead.

nicely done and holding well. Smooth tannins, fruit is vibrant and the wine is balanced. Better than expected for almost 10 years old.
