  • A hint of spice and light red fruit abounds. This wine is a very nice blend, smooth and soft but also some legs. It is just missing a little something to push it into the premier existance of excellent wines. A great value though.

  • This wine is a very good value. Toasted vanilla flavors compliment the deep dark purple color. The nose is full of chocolate and dark fruit. The wine is nice, it doesn't take on heirs.

  • Tanzer's note on this read that it drinks like a thirty dollar wine. He was wrong. Or if he is right it is more a statement on how many Spanish producers have begun charge far too much. Luckily Spain still offers a lot of value too.
But that aside, this wine is fine. It says tempranillo, though I had originally thought garnacha, or a blend. Either way, it drinks easily, juicy and fruity, not too complex but very little of the unpleasant downside flavors one gets in comparably priced American reds, or those from many others for that matter. It seems to me that I find, time and again, that for an occasional inexpensive bottle Spain is a good place to look too. Not a wine to ooh and ah over, but a nice weekday drink that opens up pretty well with a short to medium decant.

  • Very easy to drink, fruity and light, with a decent spine. On the nose, heavy strawberry, reminiscent of a beaujolais without the bubblegum. On the palate, the heavy fruit gives a perception of sweetness with plummy texture; there's some spice there too. On the finish, some structure lends balance.
