The robe is deep purple in color. An intense and elegant nose of black and red fruits and spices. The palate is fruity, structured, with good density. The tannins are round and the acidity is medium, a very good balance. The finish is fresh, elegant, and of a good length. A second wine that is both refined and very gourmet. To be enjoyed from 2024 until 2032.

Flowers, black raspberries, cherries and cedar for the core of this bright, fresh, crisp, medium-bodied, forward, vibrant, red pit fruit filled wine. Drink from 2023-2033.

The 2020 Fiefs de Lagrange is a lovely wine. I think it’s easiest to talk about second wines with reference to the grand vin, even if that can be a bit reductionist. But this comes across with a lovely blackberry nose, slightly warmer than the grand vin on the nose and palate, understandably less structured - but the upshot is that it’s round and inviting. I like this and it should be accessible quite early and will drink very nicely for a couple of decades at least.
