  • Well integrated oak, and in such a perfect drinking place now - Still one of my favourite USD 30 whites, and pairs super well with Tim Sum dishes.

Welcome to KL, Mrs Q, my school teacher from "back in the day" (1990!) when I was a student in Singapore.

Light white flowers on the nose, with hints of nectarine too. Light chalky minerality on the medium finish, with great balanced acidity too.

2019 in Tasmania was such that there was first a cool start to the season, which warmed up significantly by spring. No frost events and flowering conditions were ideal, being warm and dry including the summer which was dry with no extreme heat spells.

Chardonnay yields were excellent and harvest was early, and the growing season was described as exceptional.

  • Very good. Citrus, stone, and minerals notes, no noticeable oak, crisp acidity. On second day guava/tropical notes emerged.

  • D3 DipWSET STILL WINES - Prep with Lauren (home): A: Pale Lemon
N: Pronounced nose of struck match, flint, lime aplenty, lemon, pear grapefruit, light smoke
P: Lime, lemon, peach pit, struck match, smoke, guava
Dry, high acidity , high alcohol, medium (+) body, pronounced intensity and long finish. Creamy texture
C: A one fresh wine with excellent balance of acidity and ripe fruit concentration. The fresh sharp citrus and tropical fruit is forthright, well defined and leads to a long strong finish. The wine is of outstanding quality.
Lees and so some extra body from 11months on them.
All grapes were hand harvested prior to wool bunch pressing into old French barriques and left to ferment wild. Wine was sulphured.

I love this wine and at all of $30, its a win for me

Suitable for ageing. Plenty of fruit here and acidity to keep it fresh as it ages.
