  • Slightly corked, but under it, is a cherry pie and smokey almond profile. 14.8% alc. With hanger steak & frites at Zyndoah as part of Rest. Week. Recommended, had it not been slightly corked

  • A deep purple color pours out of the bottle. The wine is tight. Perhaps, having just arrived today, it was suffering a bit of travel shock, but I’m dubious. Some cigar ash and on the nose. But it also reveals a distinct candy apple aspect that broadens in a more pronounced way on the palate. That is not a compliment. The mid-palate and finish are short. While the wine is pleasant enough, it is not pleasurable. Peter and Rebecca note on the back label that the name “Delta” from the mathematical symbol for change applies to this wine which is a change from “typical red wine with its fruit profile.” Fruity it may be, but the change is not a welcome one. 14.8% alc. With leftover beef skewered with rosemary. Recommended with Reservations.
