Great patience is required to wait for the massive reduction nose to wear off - maybe it is just too young. But it is still there, despite four hours in the decanter, or maybe it is just some other flavor that I am not familiar with. Anyway, potential fruity and floral aromas are hindered by this unpleasant smell. Such a terrible condition didn’t occur with the impressive 2018 vintage labelled by Berry Bros. & Rudd that I enjoyed not long ago. Fortunately, well balanced across the palate, properly acidity and finish saved the bottle. Overall, a generic village, lacking in interesting contents.

Random wines tried during service (Oinoscent): The wine shows purity, spicy notes, cinnamon candy, red cherry, raspberry, sour cherry, a touch of clove, some heavier floral notes, medium intensity Palate is juicy, mineral, with a few darker herbal notes, cherry, currant, density, tight tannins, medium body and short to medium finish

Black cherry, notes of forest floor sweet spices lightly smoky. Not ready yet, revisit in 2 years

Delicious but generic. Fresh and fun but nothing memorable. Just correct.
