  • Bitingly sharp and acidic; Unchanged over 2 nights

  • My first from this producer. The nose is really lovely; key limes, limeade, a touch of vanilla from oak to soften the citrusy nose. This smells kind of like a key lime pie with a really lovely balance.

It's nice on the palate, though not quite as compelling as the nose. The flavors are very fruit driven and dominated by that lime from the nose, though not quite as multidimensional as the smell. High acid that zings right down the center of the tongue. This is clearly very young and I bet even a year or two in the bottle would round it out a bit. High quality stuff for sure and a great QPR.

  • Two glasses consumed over ~1 hour, warming from fridge temp to cool room temp. I agree with the recent notes that this is an enjoyable neutral-leaning white without the extra gear of the Milk Fed version. Crisp acidity, fresh pithy citrus (especially on the nose), a pleasant-to-me background note of something gently onion-y that added to the wine's food-friendliness.

  • Part of a mini s-f tasting. Agreed with scuba below - not in the same league as the milk fed version. Crisp, high acid white, good energy but otherwise quite neutral on the palate. Indistinct yellow fruits with a bit of citrus rind. Quaffable, but not a ton more.

  • Night and day different than the milk fed version. I didnt have them side by side but the milk fed was like a life changing experience that made me Instagram message the wine maker late in the evening. This was just like a good, crisp, nice acidity white wine, but it wasn’t anything like what I remembered the milk fed being like. I can’t give amazing tasting notes because I had already drank a 2010 Vacqueyras and a recent Sandlands Contra Costa Red Table Wine and was eating a lot Moroccan food. This went great with lemon garlic chicken. It was super crisp and looking at the S-F tasting notes…I agree…primary fruits, great acidity, and playful aromas. Palate is completely different.
