A very jammy Zinfandel, which despite being usual for a Zinfandel is unusual for a Ridge Zinfandel. Still very tasty and what I expect a Zin lover is after.

Drank as first bottle at dinner at NOPA. Rich and creamy, with spectacular raspberry jam fragrance. 16.4% alcohol but somehow this wine remains balanced and not overpowering at this stage. A wonderful drink after 5 years in the bottle and may have another 5 years to go. Loved by all of us at the table.

Part of a Ridge July 4th "tasting" - Sullivan, Dusi, Jimsomare and Stone Ranch. Jimsomare - WOTN - Many also enjoyed the Stone Ranch. All bottles enjoyed by the group.

Plum, prune, rich, alcohol, balancing acidity, sweet toasty oak. A cool weather wine. Mature, but years ahead.
