Not your typical NZ SB. Upon opening there was an initial bit of spritz, but that dissipated quickly, leading straight to a lime tinged, tasty tipple. Having giving the grapes an extra bit of skin contact and a discrete bit of time in oak, this winemaker presents a lovely product, perfect for spring, but also with a gentle palate of tropical fruits signaling summer.

Screw cap. Chilled. No decant.
N....oddly mute, or near it. A faint cut grass, a bit of damp green paddock.
C....looks light-medium body, a good straw.
T....an interesting SB, comes without the usual/tiresome NZ aggressive capsicum and intense gooseberry; has near-tropical fruit profile with funk, I liked it very much. Some wet hay, some sweet oak, a rounded and soft mouth-feel with juicy acid to balance; some saline too; some ripe citrus, some elderflower. More medium-dry than actual dry (the 'plus' is a small % of Riesling, I think I was reading somewhere). Good length of flavour.
VFM?.....feels £25.00, costs £18.00....good value for money, will buy again.
