A beautiful complex nose of funk, earth, and floral notes....lovely. I'm still stuck thinking that this was better than past bottles and a wine I'd love to have more of....

Another fine showing for this bottle. Classic Tuscan terroir with wonderful balance. No rush to drink this now...but who can resist a bottle this good?

Smell: Funk, earth, faint floral tones, an overlay of smoky meats, and dark fruits.
Taste: Blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, and tobacco...
Overall: This is one hell of a wine for the price. I'd gladly buy more of this if I were to stumble onto it. Still just a toddler this can go another 5+ years with proper storage.

Dinner at Fiddler's Green (Southwest Harbor, Maine): Showing a deep plum color at the core with a light ruby rim at the edge of the glass. Scents of this wine are earth driven as funk, ash, and granite overlay hints of darker fruits on the nose. In the mouth flavors of blackberries are followed by dark earth tones, granite, and char that linger nicely along a medium length finish.

Seemed younger than I thought it would be. Still lots of tannins. Taste was fruity but with some green notes. A good wine with food.
