Definitely not your typical grocery store Cabernet. Opened with a nice whiff of violets. Very dark color. Rich very dry and almost grainy black cherry and mulberry fruit. Big legs on the glass. Quite tannic in a dark chocolate way. Full bodied. Very distinct streak of minerals with burnt bark and tar. Still has plenty of youth. Maybe an acid addition. Blueberry and even red raspberry on the finish.

This is a simple Cabernet Sauvignon from California.
Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate.
Showing black currants, cooked plums, light oak, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, alcohol and peppercorn.
Short finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
A little unbalanced and feels very hot at this point, but easy drinking and good for parties.
Rich and fruit forward.
Not my style anymore, but very approachable, nevertheless.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
87 Points.
$14.
