This was a Mähler-Besse bottle released in 2005 that I purchased maybe a decade ago. Beautiful deep ruby robe. Gorgeous fragrance of pure “Margauxberry” (violet and dark plum). Medium weight. Very, very pretty and nice acidity. Elegant. Soft to no tannin. Lovely flavor - but very light since there is no grip.

Very good mature claret with notes of tobacco, leather and forest floor. Served 30 minutes after opening, it held up well in the glass even though it didn't develop much in the course of the evening.

Spectacular showing tonight after a two hour decant. The soft Merlot fruit was really excellent with good tertiary elements, and some nice gentle tannins to back up everything. I wouldn't wait too long, however, to drink.

Not sure about this one, probably a bit over due. Half cork was soaked. Seems fine will let it rest for a bit to see if it opens up. Nose not too pleasant, wet paper is dominating.
Palette is nice but needs to open up more.
