nose: very aromatic, fresh fruit, slightly underripe. smells very pleasant.
taste: good sharpness, but not quite like a german riesling. confusingly, jancis says johannisberg = riesling, whilst the label says sylvaner. tastes more like sylvaners i’ve had. slightly odd aftertaste.
paired with homemade quiche lorraine with plenty of gruyère.

Soft and round but with enough acidity for some structure. Unripe melon or maybe a pear- it is not tart but also not overly ripe. Reminds me of melon de Bourgogne.
