Drink by 2020 in my cellar; 3/1/2020-7/8/2020: My previous bottle was meh—but then it had spent the summer out of the cellar and in my kitchen, so I'm sure that didn't help. THIS bottle, OTH, was delightful. Ample fruit, soft, well revolved tannins, perfectly mature. Now is the time to drink this. Still a great value today, just a a few bucks over the $30 I paid: punches way above its weight. Recommended.

Popped and poured. Dark garnet color. Nose of dark cherry and plum with a healthy dose of woody, American oak. More cedar and toasted coconut than dill. Dark red berry fruit and some cigar box on the palate but still a bit more oak than I would like. Medium acid and tannin. Drying finish. Enjoyable wine that probably would have been better with food than on its own but not sure the oak will ever fully integrate.

Many reports of this being over the hill, but that was not my experience. This is a beautiful mature wine that should hold for several years. Stored at 55 degrees since purchase.

Love this wine... perhaps a smidge too late in drinking as the fruit was not what it was, but still very good.

Slightly past it’s prime, but still drinking well. Fruit, tannins and alcohol quite integrated. Cedar, dark fruit, tobacco notes. Chewy mouthfeel.
