11 months fine grained American oak. Dark color, dried spice, black plum, mulberry, light funk that is really nice. Palate is also dark but approachable, very interesting, dusty plum, medium plus tannins and body, dried spice profile. Has something unique about it, but also would like to see it in a few years, where development could really hit right.

Maturana propagated from old vines, in Rioja very rarely seen these days, known as Trousseau in the French Jura and there very common. Aged 11 months in new American oak barrels, 13.5% vol.
PnP. Stewed prune and vanilla, full bodied, medium acidity and long finish with a sweet touch.
Interesting to have once a Trousseau not from Jura, but not this, there is too much oak and not much structure. Drink in its youth, if you like such wines, it will not get better with more years in the cellar.
