A very impressive Bordeaux! When I poured the wine in the first glass I noticed a strong spicey bouquet. Hints of peppercorn and roasted peppers dominated the more subtle notes of oak. Once we let the wine breath for 15 minutes in the glass we were gladly impressed with its velvety texture. Tannins were present but very subdued. A long finish followed my first sip, smooth and gentle. The wine was at its peak. A great pleasure for a wonderful holiday evening!

Deep Red hue. Manure horse stall hay. Wet saddle nose. Big mature dry fruit mouth. Bit of a quick front and mid palate finish. Dried cherries. Nice mature French. Points for big juicy flavors up front points away for short front palate focus.

Dad had an opened bottle from the previous night so we had this during dinner. Rather simple but pleasant, didn't get much of a graves taste, was a little fruit-forward but did have good amount of earthiness.
