Shy nose of black fruit and bramble. Clear ruby Well balanced tannin and acidity. Flavors of currant and menthol. I really like this wine as a “house red” type of wine. Versatile. Quaffable. Will go with food or a glass in the evening.

Like most Willamette Valley Pinots, very fruit forward with lots of red fruit. Finish is smooth with minimal to moderate amounts of spice. Rated 4.2 out of 5.

I was very surprised to see 2 bottles of this vintage in our club shipment. The smoke taint is pronounced in both the nose and the taste. Club members deserve better than to have tainted wine pawned off on them, no matter how reasonably priced.
For those who aren't aware, during harvest of 2020 the Willamette Valley and really the entire state of Oregon was covered in forest fire smoke. The whites escaped the damage as they were picked before the fires. Most winemakers dumped their reds. A very sad state of affairs for everyone. I feel badly for the wineries but this is not the way to go about keeping club members.
If you have this wine (or any Oregon red from 2020) DO NOT CELLAR IT. The smoke taint will only intensify with age. Take it to a BBQ where there will be people who don't know or don't care about wine and get rid of it.
