  Well aged Bordeaux in a good spot and opened up over the evening but was a touch austere. Good value

  Deep ruby color. Aromas of plums, cherry, vanilla, black tea, smoke, spices. Medium bodied, medium acidity, velvety tanins. Finish is rather short. Not very complex, but very pleasant right now. Some bitterness of roasted coffee in aftertaste.

  Wow. Didn't know what to expect.
  Lovely wine. Great color.
  Shorter finish than I recall, but it is 19 years old.
  30 minutes in the bouquet started to flourish.
