I am loving Oregon Chardonnays. Not a surprise given the Pinot from Oregon. But they always seem to fly under the radar. I have always been a fan of Cristom so figure this was a good place to start. Clear light green in colour. Notes of lemon, floral, and some apple. Great acidity, nice mouthfeel. Very Burgundian in style. Can't wait to try more from Oregon.

Tasted at Wine & Spirits Top 100 NYC. This bottle was just opened and wasn’t really very opened up yet, but a beautiful wine nonetheless. On the lean and old-world side of the spectrum. Crisp, herbal, floral, with citrus and apple. Long. Would be better with some aeration and a few more years in a cool cellar. Previously tasted at the tasting room in September ‘23 with more detailed notes.

Tasted at Cristom Winery tasting room. The wine was aged for 11 months in 24% new French oak and then another 5 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks. Slight matchstick on the nose with some apple and melon. Palate is more citrus-oriented with lemon curd, lemon zest and plenty of wet stone and flint. Nice texture with medium-high acidity. Quite well-balanced with a broad texture. Flamed meringue and saline finish. Classy wine.
