TTTG Blind (North by Northwest) (ER): Had alongside the 2003; clearly similar wines, though a bit of funk on this one, and substantially less concentration. Slightly clipped finish. Nice nose; good.

Popped and poured. This was just singing so nicely, and even on the second night with no gas it is just wonderful. Lots of Black currant, leather, spices. Enjoyed quite a bit and very food friendly, though probably wouldn't wait much longer on this one.

Slighlty disappointing considering previous vintages. Takes a good hour of decanting to blow off its rough edges. Then blueberry, tobacco, leather, earth, and vanilla...al as expected from a Cab franc. Lacks flesh in the mouth.

Tasted at McCarthy & Schiering. Light in color. Fairly leafy and spicy with strong elements of green tea. This is definitely Cab Franc but more in the green and less generous direction. Very high in acid, rather astringent. Lacking in structure and fruit. I don't think the balance is there for this one to pan out terribly well.
