Ripe but faded nose. Raspberry vanilla in the full bodied mouth with still a good amount of (supplemented?) acidity left in the finish which includes a nice touch of bitter licorice to offset some of the sweetness. Nothing special, but still drinking well when paired with rich fatty cheeses.

i was not sure if this would be OK. It was in the cellar for about 7 years. I was pleasantly surprised that it was very good. I remembered from the last bottle that it needed about 2 hours of decanting.
They next day the wine was much better, much more complex and integrated.
If you have any of this in your cellar, I would open it several hours before you want to enjoy it.

Personally I find that grenache can be bitter and unpleasant without a lot of years under its belt, so I found this wine absolutely smack bang in the middle of its drinking window. Chocolate-mocha characteristics and perfectly integrated, but I recommend against decanting. Very good upon opening, but at its best (for my taste) by day 3.

Brickish, slightly dull colour. Berry aromas dominate on the nose. Slightly flabby but reasonably balanced with nice tannins.
