I bought a case of these half bottles last year at a club event. I've enjoyed drinking them on nights when I didn't want to open a full bottle. These are clearly past their prime, but it's Williamson, so it's still quite good. The fruit has survived, but the tannins have faded into oblivion. Williamson tells you their wines are made to drink immediately. Now I believe it. Dark cherries and stewed fruit on the nose and tongue.

This vintage is definitely on its way down, so drink up if you own it. There's still good color, but the cherries and blackberries present in earlier tastings are fading, leaving behind plenty of oak, spice, and dust. This is still great stuff, but there's no point in waiting any longer. The wine looks Crimson colored, and the legs are Medium. It smells like Black currant (cassis), Plum, Coffee, Espresso, Oak, Cinnamon, and Clove., and it tastes like Strawberry, Blackberry, and Cherry. The body is Medium/Full. The wine has Coarse texture with a medium finish.

Deep rich fruit without being jammy whatsoever. Seems really balanced with a chewy tannins. Long finish. I regret only buying one bottle of this. Excellent-- drinking very well now but has life left in it.

Coffee and cola at the beginning. Nice tannins with a medium to long finish. You can also really taste the 14.2% alcohol at the end. Went fabulously with a meat ragu.
