  • Simple, jammy-fruit, not much left to the imagination, short finish but overall silky mouth-feel and controlled flavors. The best part of this wine is the great quality fruit, and you can tell it was cared for like only an estate winery can do, definitely the anti-grocery store/big chain "industrial" taste. For $12.75 (club price) this really puts any big business $8-15 Zin or Syrah blend at the store to shame, so in that respect has great QPR. Went well with pork dish and assorted cheese salad. Not the highest rated wine one can get at this price point, but an enjoyable, food friendly, well cared for expression from a great little vineyard (pun intended). I don't see this getting much, if any better with age, best to drink in the next year or so.

  • First night the wine was a bit tight and maybe jostled after traveling all day. However, the second night it had opened up and was a nice table wine. No defining characteristic and not definable zinfandel character, but very fruit forward and pleasant. Everything seemed balanced and it had a nice mouthfeel.

  • Juicy sort of wine - good for its style

  • Not particularly complex, but definitely the hand made result of a lot of love. Quite dark, and quite a mouth full. I am getting some malic acid, either from an addition at winemaking, or from not going through full or partial malolactic fermentation, This acid gives it a youthfulness and a freshness that can age out with time, but currently dominates the flavor especially at the top of the mouth, kind of like a simple, rustic Cote du Rhone. It is very hard to distinguish this as 66% Zinfandel, both from the flavor profile, and the mouthfeel through the finish. It smells and tastes a little of the barnyard. Don't get much influence of the oak treatment. Carries the alcohol well. A little bitter on the finish

  • Very solid table wine. Nothing overly complex or sophisticated about this wine, but it is fruit-forward, approachable, and quite tasty. Good by itself while grilling and with pepper-crusted grilled salmon.
