Wow this wine is still amazing after 15 years. Still lots of fruit, but starting to show more notes and now a little more elegant. This wine is best aged over 10 years. Even after 15 years, dark purple in colour. Notes of black currant, ecalytus, dark chocolate, and licorice. Dry, nice acidity, med body, smooth tannins. Med + finish. Love this wine. A little overpowering in its youth, but evolves into a big elegant wine.

Was wondering how this wine would hold up and I was not disappointed. Soft and silky which is not what I would have expected. Really am glad I had this lay down for a decade. Last bottle, would be interested how it progresses. Drink up

From memory. A friend brought this over last night. It’s not my usual fare but I definitely enjoyed it. We decanted and let it sit about an hour before consuming. The wine has a delicious, complex bouquet contrasted somewhat by a simpler, dense red fruit flavor in the mouth. I found that the tannins were still evident, though slight. They were fine-grained and unobtrusive. This bottle was definitely well-cellared since purchase which might be the reason other notes suggest it is more advanced. We enjoyed it very much – a good example of a heavier CA Bordeaux blend. But given the lack of fit between the bouquet and the taste in the mouth, I’d anticipate that this will hold for many additional years and perhaps evolve in a further positive direction.

Drinking nicely now. Tannins are ever present, but soft. Solid bottle of wine with typical cab sav notes flavors. Finish lingers a bit.
