Decanted 5 hours, and followed through 3 more. Lovely pure expression of Pinot Noir, the purity of fruit was striking, along with some earth. Lovely depth and complexity, but just one problem - notes of oak shows up, especially in the finish. Really could use 10 more years to integrate...

Still too young to consume, a baby Bonnes Mares. Pretty elegant and floral on the nose, on the palate, not at full integration stage with a touch of wood, but pretty pure and elegant with good ageing ability. Better to revisit couple years after.

It took a good 3 hours to open up. An elegant bonnes mares with black fruit, gentle oak and orange peel with the house signature transperency and finesse. Clearly too young. Give it at least another 5 years. Good upside from here. 93 potential.

Ruby. The usual Mugnier rendition of Bonnes Mares, strawberry tending toward bluer fruit, more finesse than typical for the vineyard but still showing the depth of fruit and structure you expect. Softening tannins are slightly drying on the finish that otherwise is impressive for its breadth and persistence. Drink now through 2034.

BM dinner. Clarity and purity, fun to drink. Lightly floral. Lacked the depth and complexity of majestic D'Auvenay and Roumier.
