  Ruby color with barnyard on the nose. Deep black raspberry, chocolate with outsized tannin initially. After 30 minutes the tannins softened producing a much better balance, though the fruit is reserved and the body is substantial. High QPR.

  Meaty, manly nose. Black fruit, spices, kirsch, leather, meat and refreshing acidity on the palate. Needs some time to express itself fully.The second day this hadn't moved at all. The third day there was more (black berry) fruit on the nose, intermingled with dark fruit syrup and exotic spice. On the palate the fruit was already more prominent, intermingled with spices, pepper and kirsch. I upped the score and will try the reminder tomorrow. This clearly needs some additional bottle ageing to fully express itself. Good qpr.
