A decently made, easily drinkable cab from Napa fruit. Nothing overly complex on the palate with a tart finish. I agree with the previous note that the wine has started taking on a madeira like finish.

This was "quick decanted" (into the decanter and then back into the bottle) and left open for about three hours before tasting. Plummy nose. Some mint and chicory in the mouth. Still feeling youthful (despite its age) and alcoholic (15.3% abv), but not overly hot or acidic. Finishing note of caramel, turning toward maple syrup. Gains richness in the glass. Medium finish. Give it a few more years and it might take on characteristics of madiera.

When we first opened this five hours ago, I got big overly ripe and heavily extracted fruit like zin, but after four hours the fruit blew off and I'm left with a red fruit forward wine sadly with strong, almost soapy tannins in the late body to finish. This has been a strange path of development with the wine. Maybe it's just developing strangely with a double peak, but this wine is not drinking well here. I'll wait for another.

Soft and round. Good fruit. Winery doesn't make it anymore and Kym is not professional so we don't collect from the vineyard anymore.
