Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of deep ruby colour, with garnet rim and legs. Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of black fruit of blackberry, cassis and plum, maturity notes of savory, oak notes of cedar, mineral notes of earth, animal notes of leather. The wine is developing. Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin of ripe and velvety texture, medium alcohol, full body, with medium flavours of black fruit of blackberry and plum, animal notes of leather, sweet spice of clove, oak notes of toast. The wine has a medium finish. Conclusion: Good quality St-Emilion with a reasonably intense nose showing good complexity, the wine has good structure, well-balanced and with decent concentration on the palate with a fair length on the finish. It is ready to drink now and can maintain for 2-3 years.

The body is intact but the fruit has faded from what I remember while enjoying this St. Emillion wine with Sophie Fourcade shortly after it was released. Decanted for an hour. Merlot character dominant with dried herbs, dark berry notes.

In a good drinking spot rich dark berries and french earth this is not going to get any better and 2007 is meant to be admired young while waiting for the bigger years to mature
