Even at fifteen years, this still exhibits lots of very ripe, stewed, jammy aromatics and “big, extracted fruit” on the palate. Mature (dried, and stewed) black and red fruits, powered cocoa, old tobacco, and dried, green peppers, with notable unresolved vanilla oak buoyed by chewy tannins, and medium acidity. Finishes strong. This could last another year, or as long as another five...the structural elements are there, but the extracted fruit might be a distraction and create a sense of imbalance for some. Far better with food than without.

Drinking well and doesn’t seem to have lost a step over the last four years. Mature, displaying a great mix of both black and red fruits supported with tertiary notes of bell pepper, leafy tobacco, dried herbs, and a touch of mint. Tannin and acid are well integrated. Fully developed, unlikely to improve with further cellaring, but should drink well for another 1-2 years

Dark fruit and soft oak on the nose at P&P, but oak diminished over a couple of hours at a blind tasting, leaving pleasant fruit with a little spice on the palate. Next day, after 24+ hours under Argon, this was a much more enjoyable wine, with a smoother mouth feel and medium/long finish, resulting in my scoring it 91.

has lost some of its great qualities. Not fair to rate it at this stage. Still an OK wine even though it is past its prime
