  • Surprisingly good wine. 2001 was the worst Champagne vintage in memory and only a few brave souls declared. The nose was doughy with a citrus flair. The taste was surprisingly voluptuous and inviting with a multitude of pleasing facets to it. Yellow and orange fruits and a touch of exotic flavors made this a fascinating dinner companion.
