2002 and 2006 Corton Grancey (Yan's China Bistro, Walnut Creek, Ca.): Nose of sweet and sour fruit, red cherry, hint of black cherry, floral nose, and smoke, same on the palate, medium/big body, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, elegant, went well with the Duck today, and a long finish. Nose of sweet and sour fruit, lovely, floral nose from the start, lacks the color and power of the 1999 Grancey today, red cherry, black cherry, and earth on the nose, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, opened nicely today, has it all but not enough grip, mouth filling fruit, and a long finish.

Really nice fruit of strawberry and cherry. some leather, wet tobacco and under growth. soft tannins, decent acidity. married well with grilled pork tenderloin chops in a sweet/savory marinade. glad i have 1 bottle left.

Unremarkable, which is a shame with this terroir. Good concentration and some earthy red fruits. But not much else to take note of.

Both Shades of Corton (My home - Chicago IL): Enjoyable enough, but seemingly older and lacking Grand Cru density.
