  • I had high hopes for this bottle, having held it for many years, but the wine is starting to oxidize. Drinkable, just (not really) and well past its prime. Down the drain.

  • Black cherry, tobacco and spice on the nose. Medium bodied with good acidity and fine tannins. Red and black fruits on the palate. Nice finish. Four years ago I thought this had 5+ years on plateau and I certainly did not overestimate...should be good for at least 3 more years. 93 points

  • WOW, take it from there…
Still a few years from apexing.
    Terrific wine.
This was a 95pt WA, I get the structure and tension this wine delivers.
    Drink now thru 2025

  • Deep dark center, red rim with some signs of age.
Ripe and plummy, black cherries and some cassis, great fruit and some fish in the background.
Smooth, dense black and red fruits, cassis and black cherries, modest tannins, some acidity, alcohol doesn't overwhelm (even though 14.8%), oak is well integrated, a little ash and a little nutty, good finish.
Excellent right bank blend, drinking very well now.

  • Decanted 90 minutes. Maybe a touch of brown around the edge, but the color was a nice strong garnet. Initial funk aromas blew off after decanting to reveal really elegant spices, black cherry and mocha aromas and flavors. Very medium bodied, almost light but with a depth of black currants and a spec of forest floor. Fairly well structured finish - just enough acid and tannin to pair well with food. Seems to be at peak, but well stored bottles certainly can last 3-5 more years.
