NV, apparently made in a solera system. Not sure if BV still sells this. I couldn't find it on their website.
Over ripe apricots, over ripe yellow peach, marzipan, almonds, orange water and honey on the nose. Intensity of aromas is medium +. The palate adds secondary flavors - vanilla and coconut; but is mostly consistent with the aromas. The finish adds toasted almonds. Intensity of flavors is high.
Full bodied, lusciously sweet, high viscosity and medium acid. Alcohol is 18% here and you can feel it a bit. But pair this with bread pudding for dessert and you will understand the appeal.

Medium gold in color this dessert wine has medium intensity aromas of honey, stewed apricot, cooked red apple and orange peel- not overly complex. The palate is very slippery. Medium (-) acidity, full body, medium intensity flavors of honey, orange pith, stewed apricot, and that orange peel. I didn’t get the apple note btw. It’s got weight and a nice mouthfeel but the depth of fruit flavor is lacking. I like it for a basic after-dinner treat on a weekday that runs $20 per half bottle that gets 86 points from me and 2 stars. 18% ABV btw.

Good value. Easy drinking desert wine, has some legs. Would guess it may have a couple of years left, but it didn't last that long in my house anyway. Would buy again. Sorry for the lack of details, I had this 3 nights ago, 4 wines ago... and I just can't remember the taste profile.

Low shoulder fill on the old, squat bottle. Deep orange. Nose of strawberries, candied orange and burnt sugar. Rich candied fruit gave way to caramelized apples, creme brulee, and a hint of ripe pineapple. This was poorly stored for 20 years and was amazingly good.
