  • PnP, then 1 hour. Beautiful nose of cherry, lard, berry. Tart with good acid but strong backbone of fruit and mineral leading to a moderate finish. Interesting notes of lead, musk, spice. Complex but unified, excellent for price.

  • Opened up after 30 minutes. Don’t anticipate a lot of change over the next few years. Drink or hold.

  • Brought by csnyder612. Opened 2 days ago, consumed 2/3 of the bottle, and the TN is from today, after being kept in cool conditions with a cork.
Bright red, sappy cherry fruit on the nose, along with tobacco, spice box, and gentle wood notes.
On the palate, lush and open, ready for business. This 1er Cru is drinking nicely today, showing flavors of red bing cherries, forest floor, iron, and a hint of plum.
Nice and lively acidity to balance the supple, smooth tannins. This wine may improve a bit further, but it is so delicious, I would drink it now through 2019.

Violet-garnet color of moderate depth. Red-fruited and spicy on the Nose (I'm starting to believe this is typical of NSG); not funky. Medium-light bodied. On the palate, this is red-fruited (medicinal cherry) with an earthy/herbs/slightly funky facet; easy-drinking; a bit thin or tight --- seems to be wanting for more stuffing.

  • Strawberry and cranberry flavors. Floral nose. Good depth and length. Lots of juicy fruit. Nice bottle. Drinking great right now.
