Dark purple in color, ruby around the edges. Clarity is good.
For improved aromas, it needed a couple hours to open up in the bottle. Aroma is of cherry and oak. It has some spice to it. Some notes of leather, herbs and mint. Nice arrangement of layers.
Taste is tart, red berry, sweet plum, and cherry, spices, chocolate, and smoked wood, plus some very faint fig or prune. This one has that 'taste' indicating it's past the peak window, but this bottle is still very good. Nice long finish.

Delicious with roast lamb. I let it breathe for a few hours. Drinking quite nicely but can cellar longer.

Bit more youth than the previous bottle, nicely aged and quite easy with good jammy fruit.
