Gorgeous aroma swirling in a Reidel pinot glass - this wine has held up well. Shocked it still has life on its tenth year from bottling. Guess it's that Russian River "magic". Hell, why not, it's probably my favorite Sonoma viticultural region. The nose just explodes with fresh fruit, but it seems like its developing some dark (brown) edges. Its also very pale in the glass with some translucent quality. Glad I opened this when I did, doesn't seem like it has a chance at too much more life. Really a quality wine from Eric Ross, quite a standout from the " Saralee"s Vineyard". Bravo for longevity.!!!

Pale ruby color - one of the lightest colored Pinots I've seen (other than much older Burgs). Not sure if that's the age or normal for Eric Ross? Nice nose of cherry, cinnamon, cloves, violets. On the palate, cherry, smoke, oak. Medium+ body, acidity, alcohol (14.4%). Medium- tannin and finish. To me, it's very oaky and hot, but that may just be my taste buds - this is a recurring theme for me recently with some Pinots. I won't rate it given the age and my taste buds - but if I did it would be 85-ish.
