  • Very beautiful, mature Burg. 1966 seems just such a typical and beautiful Burg vintage.

  • My Birthyear Wine 1966 is sleeping at the moment.
The nose is close and shows soy sauce smell until 4.30 hours passed by. The color is clear orange turns to be light ruby, still alive. The scent of sweet fruit from the old wine is very nice, good balance and the texture is good, sweet Richebourg, lovely and lively with the smooth linger and long aftertaste.

It's not fading but getting better and better when the time passed by. The last big sip shows the intensive and fuller in body. Delicious !!!

If you still have this wine in the cellar, better keep another 2 years waiting until it's fully awake. You must love it. 93-94/100

  • Darker burgundy in color. Sous bois, dried raspberries, dried rose petals, potpourri and slightly musty on the nose; fully tertiary and evolved. Beautiful to smell with a hauntingly complex fragrance. All tertiary flavors on the palate, smooth tannins, delicate. The wine’s body was light, lacked mid-palate spring, some weight. I would have expected and liked slightly more heft in a Richebourg. All in all, a beautiful wine.
