Decanted two days before service. Dark caramel color with a lot of caramel on the nose. The acidity was very much there, but balancing very well with the sugar. Nuts, caramel, molasses, with a dense mouth feel. Remaining life would be in terms of decades, not years. Excellent with strong cheeses.

An Evening with Friends (J&J's): Light amber color with notes of coffee, walnut and toffee. Dried stone fruit undertones. Dried apricot and walnut on the palate. Excellent. (J&J)

App: Deep dark golden yellow Aroma: Complex nose of dried fruits, burned brown sugar and sherry-cress Very full-bodied and great concentration. Great balance. Very good length

Aromas of raisin and coffee. Taste corresponds to aromas, but adds fresh mint and nuts. Sweet, but with balancing acidity. Complex. By far the best of the few Madeiras I have tasted. (92 points)
Near perfect with tiramisu and desserts made with cream and dried fruits.
PS! This is not a wine one would drink large quantities of. We had a small glass almost every evening for more than a week. The wine kept it's qualities, and did not stop to to impress. (93 points).

Quick taste. Tea, coffee, VA, chalk on the nose with med. intensity. Too sweet for me, lacks acidity. Moderate length.
