  2010 K&L Annual Champagne Event (K&L San Francisco Store): K&L Champagne Tasting. Nose of pinot noir flavors, touch of yeast and allspice, more of the same on the palate, medium body, well done, good value, hint of bacon, mouth filling, tasty, lovely juice, one of top 5 Rose champagnes tasted today, medium finish and medium aftertaste.

  Disappointing QPR. The palate doesn't deliver what the nose promises, turning taut and dry and lacking interest overall. I imagine this to be very versatile with food -- too bad we were serving it as an apertif. I don't drink sparkling wine very often. I preferred a $20 bottle of Cava to this.
