  Liked it better on release, but still has great attributes.
  The cork was perfect after over a decade and a half in the bottle. Consumed over two days. This wine started with spicy fruit; as it opened up, this wine showed better balance. On day two, this wine had softened to reveal increased depth, texture, and integrated complexity. Dark red color with no oxidation, and clarity is good. Aromas of sweet cherry, and vanilla. Flavors of cherry, raspberry, and baking spice. This Grenache has a medium finish. This age worthy wine may be past peak. I still have 4 bottles remaining in my cellar and will try another soon to verify this tasting note. A very young fruit source and a good winemaking effort by Peter Work. Pair with Charcuterie and Olive Tapenade or grilled Lamb Chops.

  This wine is delicious. Such a nice Grenache. Great nose, fruity full flavored. I truly enjoy every wine from Ampelos.

  This wine has put on weight. It has a slightly "grapey" flavor profile. Quite a bit of fit, with purple flavors, some kirsch and bramble berry. Good of a CA Grenache that is not overly heated from high alcohol.
