  A real winner tonight, everything you could wish for. Complete seamless, great harmony, lush, yet with everything in place. The fruit is very intense, strawberry galore mixes with darker berries, tannin well integrated. Still young, but the drinking window has opened.

  Sensation bottle straight off the bat. Enjoyed with the 08 and 09 and in terms of drinking zone this was the most ready. Super engaging nose slightly high pitched vs the others lending nice freshness but the fruit is deep make no mistake and the complexity builds with air displaying kaleidoscopic qualities with plenty of spice, cinnamon, red fruits and so sappy. Drinks dangerously easy and a bottle shared with two friends “disappears” in criminal time. Near perfect and much better than another bottle has earlier this year that didn’t have that fruit intensity. Great now but of course will age well also. 99+

  Light in complexion, rose colour in fact. Coming off a 08 Reignots which was on total fire and wears its heart on its sleeve the Romanee 07 was a wine of stealth at first. Took an hour to get into it’s stride without decant but when it did oh boy... serene Earl Gray, umami that I only get from this wine in spades, crystalline in texture, effortlessly gliding over the palate and you know the king had come to town. With time coffee bean notes emerge vis a vis a fruit full throttle DRC RSV99. Romanee is simply utterly spellbinding each time. For pleasure today though look no further than Reignots 07. Romanee 07 is a 30-50 year wine no doubt.

  Fin dybde med moden frukt og svakt gammelt treverk.
  Bra, men ikke den mest sexy utgaven fra denne adressen.
  Slank stram munnfølelse - litt på samme måte som en klassisk Barolo.
  Enorm konsentrasjon selv om den er på den lette siden.
  Usikker på om den blir bedre med tid - god modning her nå.
  Sykt lang med heftige finkornede tanniner.
  Ingen storsjarmør, men ganske imponerende 94p

  Lighter complexion to this vintage for La Romanee. Light red fruit, dry soil tones, underlying spice. Soft and approachable currently.
