de Moor night at Table, Donkey and Stick (Chicago, IL): Clearly maturing, but not at an advanced pace. This is ripe and powerful, with a rounded, opulent palate, as well as that heightened 2008 acidity. The fruit is generous and while there don't seem to be secondary flavours, the texture is taking on some secondary qualities with a slightly rounder character.

Hart Davis Hart BYOB Dinner (Hinterland Gastropub, Milwaukee, WI): Unusual nose of tart orange juice concentrate, honey and white flowers. More interesting chardonnay character comes through on the palate, with faint sulfur, light structure and some heat. White flowers emerge again through the finish.

Boulder Burgundy Wine Festival 2012 - absolutely loved this wine. Great fruit on the nose and palate. I kept getting a strong nose of tropical fruit and bananas. Strong mid-palate with just enough acidity to give a backbone.

Fine Vines Warehouse Tasting (Fine Vines - Melrose Park IL): Walk around tasting, brief note. Still good with good weight, just no longer as interesting as the 2013 vintage just tasted.

A beautiful gold colour. Lemon and citrus on the nose with a touch of honey. On the palate, honey really comes through.
