More nuance than power at this juncture; fruit and structure have reached maturity, components in harmony. Stood up to the chargrilled NY strips. There’s definitely “enough in the tank” to see this through another 1-3 years. Drink now.

I’ve evaluated this wine on a number of other occasions between 2012-2016. Still hitting on all cylinders, showing no signs of imminent abatement. Decanted and enjoyed with a medium rare ribeye and grilled Brussels Sprouts. Clear, deep ruby color, no signs of bricking. Mature, initially leads with a bit of herbaceousness and cooked bell pepper, but settles, yielding black and red currant, dried blackberry, stewed raspberry, black coffee, old leather, dried tobacco, and dried earth. Structured with still chewy tannin and medium acidity. Finish is dry but long. Drink now though 2023, depending on cellar conditions. Still 92-93 points.

Nice wine and typical CA Cabernet. Black cherry, plum, cassis fruit mixed with spice, pipe tobacco , and some savory components mid-palette. Finish is smooth and silky with more black fruit and now earthy notes. A slight astringent aftertaste lingers after a minute leaving a dry impression. Agree with other tasters that this wine is within peak drinking window. No need to wait any longer, drink now - 2020

Last bottle. Fully mature, not over the hill yet but I’d drink now.

Smooth, balanced and supple, but probably a bit past its prime. Drink now.
