It has been a solid year since the last bottle of this, and that year has certainly had an impact. Much darker in color with a bit of mustiness along with the tropical fruit and oak on the nose. The palate is still marked by a lively acidity, but the fruit has certainly faded. Yes, I waited too long, but still a fine wine. thedrunkencyclist.com

This has certainly taken on a bit of color since the last bottle, but still going strong: lemon curd and white pepper buttered popcorn--this is certainly on the bigger side of Chardonnay. On the palate, rich and full but still buoyed by great acidity. Sure, it is a bit darker, but it does not seem to be going any where quickly. thedrunkencyclist.com

Acquerello (San Francisco): The proverbial California Chardonnay. Rich, buttery, oaky, and popcorn-laced. A bit oily (which I actually liked), but certainly lacked complexity and some delineation of flavors; overshadowed by the butter-bomb personality it flaunted throughout consumption. Still, I secretly enjoyed this wine. Hedonistic and plush.
It lifted the heat/spice element in the squid ink risotto, charred octopus, tomato soffritto, Calabrian chili, and meyer lemon dish.

Balanced with the perfect amount of buttery oak. A pleasure to drink.
