the color is dark garnet, long legs.,opened with aromas of berries, casis and mushroom. In mouth vivid fruit, coffe, whipping cream and medium tanin. it is quite young, will improve if given more time. but this is my only bottle, enjoy!

Still pretty young, probably needs 10-15 more years for my tastes. Though drinking well and very impeccably made. Drinking good for a young Saint Emilion. Probably be phenomenal in time, if kept at right conditions.
Past its prime I think. Bit of a chemical (ketone) aroma. Oxidized port-like taste and still too sweet for my tastes. Make sure you decant due to sediment. Paired well with beef goulash.

I've been on the lookout for a 2009 Bordeaux that tasted like this one. For years I've been hearing that the vintage was rich, ripe, generous, fruity, sexy and so on, and while all that is indeed true, I never came across the adjective I sought --- until now. The `09 Gomerie is delicious. Yes, it's also ripe and generous, but it sure is a revelation to consume a Bordeaux that's yummy, too.

Just a great St. Emilion from the 2009 vintage. Still quite youthful. There’s a wonderful “zing” that lingers on your palate. This bottle went quickly. With lamb shawarma.
