Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 86.5 points

  • Popped and poured through Vinturi into decanter. Bold beautiful nose on this one from the Carneros fruit. Simplistic black cherry and raspberry notes. Dark medium ruby in color and has a medium body and medium length finish. Just a nice sipping Pinot. Not much complexity. I would drink soon if you have them in your cellar.

  • Definitely not a Burgundian Pinot. The first impressions of this wine are very smoky and toasted. The smells of rhubarb, strawberries, black currents and spices start in the background but keep gaining momentum with air and time. On the palate both the smoky, rich notes of tobacco and the acidity of the fruit make for a rounded, balanced and intriguing wine that hangs out in your mouth for longer than you might expect. Tannins are present but not overly assertive, giving the wine backbone but letting the more subtle fruits shine through.
