- Purple color with slow forming legs and aromas of blackberry and black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and black currant with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Aged beautifully. A little bit of lingering "Temecula dirt" on the finish. Very good wine.

Tasted side by side with a 2005 Pride Merlot and the Leonesse was so much nicer. It seemed much more balanced, wonderful chocolate covered cherries, nice acidity. Paired incredibly well w seared foi grais in a pomegranite sauce. We finished the Leo and reluctantly moved to the Pride.

Wonderful Merlot! I am usually not a fan of merlot, but luckily I'm a fan of very nice wine. Drinking in its prime, some slight bricking.
