beautiful dark color. smooth and relatively textureless to a fault. Almost in a dumb stage right now. Tastes of cherry. Could use more time in the bottle but may not have the structure to come back.

This is Wellington's 18th consecutive vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Mohrhardt Ridge Vineyard located on a mountainside in Cazadero five miles from the Sonoma Coast (cool climate). Deep garnet. Medium-plus body. Wild cherry, blackberry, damp earth and coffee aromas. Palate is mouthcoating blackberry, blackcherry, glycerin, mocha, pine needles, a trace of molasses, and a hint of allspice. Crisp acidity. Silky tannins. Nicely balanced. Medium finish. Improves with air. 14.6% abv. Drink or hold.

This was just excellent, as expected. Really firing on all cylinders. Sad it's my last bottle of this vintage but at least I've got other vintages!

Drinking well, and would happily improve with more time in bottle. Young, but not a baby.
