  This wine was firing on all cylinders, I didn't take a detailed note because I was at dinner with friends. My new rule, no notes at dinners.

  Aromas of cigar box, espresso mocha bean, and blackberry, sweet vanilla spice and ripe plum. Easy enter on the palate with the acids holding up and in balance with the fruit. The tannins have mellowed out and likely indicate that the peak is now or just past.

  Fruit subdued; too much tannic tension, which didnt resolve much after 1-2 additional days open. Certainly nothing unpleasant, but a below average QPR.
